The aim of the International Forum for University Presidents on ICT Education (IFUP-ICT) is to strengthen the significance of the role played by universities and educational institutions on ICT education in the information society, promote the dialogue about and exchange of the newest ideas between them, and present a platform for worldwide cooperation. In the information age, ICT universities are playing an increasingly important role with the robust development of information and communication technology. On the other hand, great challenges also present themselves: how to produce qualified graduates, how to adjust teaching and research to technological innovations which emerge each passing day, how to promote cooperation with enterprises. To respond to those challenges, it is vitally necessary to establish a global platform for the exchange between ICT universities. The theme for this year is ICT Education in the 21st Century: Challenges and Opportunities.
