Exercise
The passive form of an active tense is formed by using the verb “to be” (is am, are, etc) plus the past participle of the main verb.
- Active: The farmer sends the milk to the factory.
- Passive: The milk is sent
to the factory.
- Active: Frank broke the window.
- Passive: The window was broken
by Frank.
- Active: Turn the handle to the left.
- Passive: The handle is turned to the left.
