Do you know someone who has had an accident and has needed blood?

Has a woman in your family needed blood when giving birth? Do you know someone with a illness who needs blood periodically? 

What do you know about donating blood? Have you ever given blood?

With a partner sort out the steps in donating blood.

  1. Blood is taken and tested 
  2. Blood is refrigerated
  3. Cuff is put on
  4. Needle is inserted
  5. Needle taken out
  6. Given juice and cookies
  7. Rest
  8. Donor is given roll of cotton material
  9. Blood pressure
  10. Details are taken
