Population and Density in East Africa

Write 120 words describing the information in the graph below (there isn't really enough for 150 words)

Suggested answer:

The piechart and bar graph show populations and densities for five East African countries. Overall, Kenya and Tanzania have the biggest populations in the region, while Burundi and Rwanda are the most densely populated.

Tanzania, at 37 million, and Kenya, at 33 million have the highest populations in the region. Uganda comes in the middle with 23 million. In contrast, Burundi with just 7.3 million, and Rwanda, with just under 9 million have less than half Uganda's population.

However, although Rwanda and Burundi have small populations compared to their neighbors in the region, they are by far the most densely populated. Rwanda has 337 people per square kilometer, or almost 10 times the density of Tanzania. Burundi follows with 262 people per square kilometer.

In summary, there appears to be an inverse relationship between population and density the two largest countries in the region have also the lowest population density.
